Broadstairs Music Recital Society

This society was formed in 2010 to organize regular classical concerts in Broadstairs.

The first concert was at York Street Methodist Church on 25 September 2010 with string quartet The Impromptu Ensemble playing Haydn, Mendelssohn, and Rimsky-Korsakov.

The Impromptu Ensemble returned several times since, and a YouTube Playlist shows the entirety of their 2012 BMRS concert.

They hosted 8 concerts per year (a total of 47). For further details of the society see the archived BMRS website.

In May 2017, BMRS closed, to be succeeded shortly afterwards by MAYS, Music at York Street.
